【摘要】:Fewstandardsexisttoobjectivelyjudgeflaxquality.Colorisanimportantfactorinthequalityofflaxfiber.Naturalvariationsinrawflaxfiber,variousprocessingsteps,fiberblending,andawiderangeofendusescontributetotheneedforastandardmethodofobjectivelymeasuringthecolorofflaxfiber.Spectrophotometicdataprovideanaccurate,precisedeterminationofthecolorofflaxfiber.ColorimetricdataareobtainedthroughspecimenmeasurementbycombiningspecimenspectraldatawithdatarepresentingaCIEstandardobserverandaCIEstandardilluminant,asdescribedinMethodE308.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwo(ormore)laboratories,comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,usethesamplesforsuchacomparativetestthatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Theresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,aprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatfibersampletypemustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheinstrumentalcolormeasurementofflaxfiber.1.2Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunits(whichareprovidedinparentheses).Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
